Jenjarom Bak Kut Teh, nestled in the heart of Kampung Sungai Jarom, Selangor, presents a traditional take on the beloved Malaysian dish. Patrons have praised the claypot style offerings, particularly highlighting the tender pork bones and rich soup. However, some diners, like E.C. Yoong, noted a tendency towards saltiness in the broth, which could be a point of consideration for those sensitive to seasoning.
The menu boasts generous portions at competitive prices, a feature commended by Samson Cheong, who enjoyed the addition of egg in his dish, enhancing its depth. Yet, it’s worth mentioning that the tea served could be improved, as it falls short of standard sizes typically found in other eateries. Reviewers like Keo Tham and Mun Fei Cheah provided mixed feedback, pointing out a lack of herbal intensity, which is pivotal for a truly authentic Bak Kut Teh experience.
Overall, while Jenjarom Bak Kut Teh caters to local breakfast enthusiasts and offers a fulfilling meal, it may need to refine its flavors to stand out among competitors in the bustling food landscape of Malaysia.

Reviews for Jenjarom Bak Kut Teh
Review highlights
Based on 92 reviewsJenjarom Bak Kut Teh is recognized locally for its affordable pricing and generous portions, often highlighted as a go-to spot for breakfast. Customers appreciate the use of tender meat with sizable bones and a decent overall flavor profile. However, feedback indicates the broth may lean towards a saltier taste with a milder herbal presence than expected in traditional bak kut teh. While the tea served complements the meal, its smaller-than-average cup size has drawn some remarks. Overall, the restaurant enjoys popularity for its value and portion size but faces mixed reviews regarding the depth of flavor and seasoning balance.
Claypot or bowl style bakuteh. Taste wise is quite good... But I personally feel a bit salty. Meat they using big bone... Nice and tender. Price is cheap.
The Bak Kut Teh here taste quite nice and it comes not just the soup with pork belly and Fu Chuk, but they do add the egg on it and the price here also quite cheap for a large portion on it. The tea wise, the cup for the tea is too small, much smaller than the usual restaurant do provide. Other than that, the tea is fine.
Bak kut teh taste ok but less herbal flavor, quite expensive.
This BKT shop is one of the local favourite for breakfast. Personally the taste just so so for me compare with others.
